VADEN(ヴァーデン)について|佐藤特殊製油株式会社

From small gears to specialized parts, we have provided solutions to various applications and demands for nearly 90 years.
As a niche market, detailed and dedicated effort is essential to our business.
Our easily-recognized blue cans and familiar 'VADEN' name are proof of the continuous hard work we have put in up until today.
We strive to support our customers' operations down to the smallest detail and believe that this will assist in supporting the country and,
in the end, the businesses of the world. We fill our VADEN cans with this intention as we ship them to our customers each day.
Through this, we hope that VADEN will continue supporting our clients' operations for the next 100 to 200 years and beyond.

BIRTH OF VADEN

"Lubricants are essential in moving the machinery of the world."
This was the insight of Yasumasa Sato upon reflecting on world trends amid the Industrial Revolution. Accordingly, in March 1928, he established a company to produce and sell special lubricant oils and metal processing oils that existing domestic oil producers had avoided, despite their technical complexity and limited usage.
VADEN, which has become synonymous with Sato Special Oil and is widely endorsed throughout the industry today, is the name we began using as our trade mark at our founding. By launching it as a brand, VADEN helped raise company consciousness and became an expression of our intention to always strive for better quality. The name originates from a joint venture for developing a new product with a research institute in Germany - a leader in oil technology at the time - as well as Sato's own beliefs.

Needs Delivering satisfaction through technology and speed that meets customer demands

Yasumasa Sato included his 5 beliefs within the brand's name.
Later, in February 1949, Sato incorporated the company and began manufacturing original products to address the needs of industries dealing in a multitude of fields, such as textiles, bearings, automobiles, electronics, railway transport, steel-manufacturing, heavy machinery, and heavy electric machinery. Never idle, in 1960 and 1961 Sato visited the United States and Europe on inspection tours and could not believe what he witnessed there. This experience prooved crucial for him in recognizing the disparity between Japan and the outside world. Upon his return, believing that further economic development was possible for Japan as well, Sato focused on lubricants and worked tirelessly to contribute to this future growth.
A blue can, Gothic font, and the largely-engraved letters "VADEN". These humble beginnings are simple proof of the pride we hold in the technology developed by Sato Special Oil over the course of a century. These cans still contain the passionate spirit of Yasumasa Sato within them.
And they will surely continue to for some time to come.

What is the essence of the lubricants that are so integral to our world?

And we promise to continue in the legacy inherited from Yasumasa Sato
to support this country and the world and harness the power to create the future.
To Infinity and Beyond!
